Welcome to the Virginia Photography Classes (VAPC) site presented by ArtInspired! Our mission is to provide fantastic classes that will benefit you in many ways through the Art of Photography. Perfect if you are seeking:

20140531-IMG_8703fbVAPC launched in Jan. 2013 as an extension of the photography classes ArtInspired has been offering since 2010. The founder and instructor Marilen Crump has been a professional photographer since 2000 and a member of the PPA since 2004. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Sweet Briar College in 2000 where she self-designed her own Interdisciplinary Arts major. She attended NYIP and UCLA after graduation and has been working as a freelance photographer throughout Virginia and Maryland. Notable clients include J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, Regent University, The Williamsburg Hospitality House, The Farley Center, Williamsburg Neighbors Magazine (Cover Shots), and various TV/Film personalities for their professional headshot and marketing materials. She has been instructing photography classes since 2009 and has led numerous photo tours in the Hampton Roads area including Historic Yorktown, Colonial Williamsburg, The Noland Trail, Historic Main Street on Warwick Blvd. and Sandy Bottom Nature Park.   1. I have a quick question, I have a Nikon d5000 and it says it is a digital SLR. Is that the same as a DSLR, and if not can I use this camera to take a course?
